Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time. It’s a normal reaction to air, moisture and skin, not a flaw. The good news: it’s easy to clean.
Everyday wear
- Take your jewellery off before swimming, showering or exercising.
- Avoid perfume, lotion and chlorine. Put your jewellery on after you’ve finished getting ready.
- Take it off before cleaning, gardening or other hands-on work.
Storage
- Store each piece separately so chains don’t tangle and pieces don’t scratch.
- Keep your jewellery in a pouch or an airtight bag to slow tarnish.
- Keep it somewhere cool and dry.
Cleaning
- For everyday shine, gently rub with a soft polishing cloth.
- For a deeper clean, wash in warm water with a little mild soap.
- Rinse, then dry fully with a soft cloth before storing.
